When she’s not placing out escort cards, wrangling the flower girls or carefully packing up your grandmother's toasting flutes, she enjoys surfing, spending quality time with close friends and family, and crafting ceramics.

Sophie has been part of the Lia Adams Events family for the past five years. Though she started as part of our larger events team, she quickly earned her way into a lead planning position thanks to her attention to detail, initiative, responsiveness and genuine care for others.

As an Enneagram 2, I love talking through things and flipping problems into opportunities. And after 25 years in events, I practically have a degree in therapy. Thanks to experience in practically every facet of the events industry, I understand how to navigate complex logistics and moving parts. And I know how to successfully support and lead a large team.

So as we get closer to the wedding, I'll reach out to your vendors to share details and discuss the flow of the day. I'll fine-tune the timeline to accommodate each of their needs. And come wedding day, I'll ensure everyone is well fed and well rested. Because, when we give them our best, they'll give you theirs.

Taught Me Some Important Lessons

18 Years Producing Luxury Events

THE BACKSTORY

I helped build a luxury wedding planning business from scratch. For five years, I invested blood, sweat and tears to see my friend's company take off. And I learned what it meant to truly own your business.

From there, I transitioned to catering and learned events from the inside out. I discovered how much hard, physical work this business entails.

When it comes to producing events, you could say I've experienced it all.

And I learned quickly, often by trial and error, that when it comes to events you have to leave no stone unturned.

Shortly thereafter, I moved across the country to Nashville, Tennessee, where I learned what Southern hospitality really means and how to bring elements of it to each event.

In 2017, I returned to California and founded Lia Adams Events.
