Cooking has always been a form of meditation for me. Assembling ingredients. Layering flavors. Watching the clock so each element comes together at just the right time.
I love the creative process that brings a dish to life. But for me, the magic isn’t just in turning a million moving pieces into a beautiful dish. It’s in the purpose of the meal.
To nurture. To savor. To gather.
The best meals, like the best weddings, aren’t just about what’s served. They’re about how people feel while they’re gathered together.
That philosophy shapes the way I approach wedding planning.
Listening closely to your vision. Curating the right vendor team. Developing timelines that allow the celebration to unfold comfortably and naturally. My role is to guide the process so every detail comes together seamlessly, allowing you and your guests to stay present and truly savor the experience of being welcomed, cared for, and connected.
It all began in the kitchen.

“We truly never doubted that all the necessary elements would come together under your guidance. You were the wise, professional conduit between us and the dozen or more producers of the event that we hoped you would be.”
Your purview includes the intuitive, subtle, the intangible ‘anything and everything.’

“One thing that made her stand out from other coordinators we talked with was her laid-back yet professional and confident personality, and this was important during the wedding. A million things are happening all at once and you’ll want someone like Lia guiding things.”

The LAE Timeline
When I say I’ve worn *almost* every hat in this industry, I mean that literally. As a wedding planner, I think in terms of timelines. So here’s a quick look at the one that led to the founding of LAE.
I started working in restaurants really early and was managing teams by the time I was 21.
I helped build a luxury planning firm from the ground up, serving as the owner’s right hand along the way.
Combining my event planning skills with my passion for cooking led me into high-end catering management.
Five seasons and one brief move to Nashville later, I opened my own catering-turned-staffing company—but quickly found that I was managing events more than focusing on food.
That realization brought me full circle back to California and events. In 2017, I founded Lia Adams Events and have been planning weddings from Big Sur to The Bay ever since.
Together, we’ll architect a celebration that reflects your style, the way you live, and your deepest intentions for the day.
Sound like what you’re looking for?
What this means for you? I’m not just focused on my piece of the puzzle. My boots-on-the-ground experience in multiple categories has given me an unsurpassed understanding of the big picture—and how to bring it to life, minus the chaos.
In me you’ve found a logistical expert with really good taste. Someone who will take your story + ideas and weave them into a personal, elevated design that blends warmth with hospitality.
