I love good food and the creative process that brings it to life. But for me, the magic isn’t just in turning a million moving pieces into a composed dish. It’s in the purpose of the meal.

There’s this saying: “The best meal is the one made with the most love.” I think the same can be said of wedding planning—or at least the approach I take to it.

When I say I’ve worn *almost* every hat in this industry, I mean that literally. As a wedding planner, I think in terms of timelines. So here’s a quick look at the one that led to the founding of LAE.
Restaurants
I started working in restaurants really early and became a manager by the time I was 21. (Yes, tipping well is still very important to me!)
Luxury Events
I served as the right-hand woman to the owner of a luxury planning firm that we built from the ground up.
Catering Management
When my love for cooking started to rev up, I transitioned into high-end catering management.
Entrepreneurial Leadership
Five seasons and one brief move to Nashville later, I opened my own catering-turned-staffing company—but quickly found that I was managing events more than focusing on food.
Lia Adams Events
That realization brought me full circle back to California and events. I founded Lia Adams Events in 2017 with a focus on becoming the best wedding planner from Monterey to the Bay. I’ve been enjoying the journey ever since!
